As you know Leona’s single ‘Footprints in the Sand’ is the official Sport Relief song and a few weeks back she went out to South Africa to meet some of the communities that will benefit from the money that Sport Relief raises.

While she was there she met some incredible people and decided to keep a journal of her extraordinary experience. In her daily account she reveals the amazing strength and optimism of those living in the most appalling living conditions, and tells us how she had the pleasure of singing with the local children!

Leona , you going over to South Africa and releasing the sport relief single has really inspired me to do more for charity , no other celebrity ever did as much as you , which has touched me deeply . You’re an incredible person and I wish you all the best in the U.S , keep up the good work !!!!

The diary of your journey to Africa is very moving and i am hoping to go out to Kenya sometime soon as my family are involved in a charity that rescues abandoned and orphaned babies.
My cousin Naomi is out there caring for these babies, she is only 26 and has dedicated her life to these children as she is originally from Peterborough.

I would also just like to say a few words about how you have really inspired me. I too love to sing and since you have won the X factor, it has shown the World what music is really about. Singing from the heart and soul!! You must be so proud of how much you have achieved. I have just sent a form to x factor recently and am currently waiting to hear back from them now.
