We noticed you’ve been busy putting your literary talents to the test by taking part in a poetry competition on your favourite subject…Leona!

While the unofficial fan competition has now closed, we were so impressed by some of the entries that we wanted to give them some official glory….

So over the next few weeks we’ll be publishing our favourite poems on Leona’s homepage!

and is a lovely sight

She has dashing strength
Dashing beauty
& and is a gift from above sent…

Leona makes it happen
Puts a smile on your face

She is a star at what she does
She never lets you down
Did i mention she deserves a crown?

She indeed is something special
The best many have seen
In fact she may be the singing QUEEN!

My poem is called ‘A Star is Born’

She came from nowhere, just a burning desire to sing
A shy, timid girl with a voice so pure and strong
She looked so beautiful at that first audition
‘Over the Rainbow’ she sang, such a beautiful song
A STAR IS BORN

As the weeks went on she continued to excel
Her beauty shone out as she raised her voice in song
Everyone loved her and wanted her to win
With the voice of an angel, to the world she should belong
A STAR IS ON HER WAY

She took her time and recorded her best
Then ‘Spirit’ emerged - what a glorious day
She took the world by storm, a true diva in voice
Then she sang ‘Run’, so much emotion words cannot say
A STAR IS NAMED

We all wait now with bated breath for her second album
What will it be called, what songs will she sing?
Her confidence has grown, it will blow us away
The tour is next, the world is waiting, the heavens will ring
A STAR IS HERE IS STAY
