She is teaming up with TRAVIS PAYNE, the dance guru behind MICHAEL JACKSON’s ill-fated comeback gigs, for a spectacular 14-month world tour.
And her record label have told her: “Money is no object.”
Leona has been finalising the details of the elaborate gigs in between recording sessions for her second album in Los Angeles.
Her record label boss SIMON COWELL has taken a special interest in the arrangements for the shows, which will have a Garden Of Eden theme.
I’m told: “Everyone at SyCo is determined to transform Leona into a global touring powerhouse.
She has proved she can sell millions of records, so the next logical step is for her to pack out arenas.
Travis, who choreographed Jacko’s This Is It shows, is on board.
And discussions have been held with FRANCO DRAGONE, the creative director of some of CELINE DION’s biggest gigs.
“It’s a case of hiring the best talent in the business at any cost to make sure the concerts will be one of the talking points of next year.”
The shows will be staged from next summer onwards and will be very stylised.
The source added: “The Garden Of Eden theme will allow Leona to showcase two sides to her character: The angelic songbird, and the less well-behaved R&B vixen.” But before the jaunt begins, Leona is going to undertake some serious training.
The source said: “Since Leona has played so few full-length concerts she’s still quite a raw performer. And if she’s going to pack out arenas she needs some polish.
“She’s been having lessons with a confidence coach in a bid to improve her stage presence.
“It’s a huge step to make from relative novice to playing to arenas of 20,000, so understandably she needs guidance.”
I have every confidence my favourite X Factor champ will crack it in time.
The Yanks have got plenty of arena-packing pop stars including BEYONCE and CHRISTINA AGUILERA.
It’s about time we Brits had a serious rival to them - and Leona’s just the girl.

I am glad to hear this. I can’t wait for the album and the tours.But for me it would be greatest pleasure even if she just sitting when she sings. I am after her voice not her dancing although she has to dance to become successful world tour performer. Love LL always.

If this is true, then that’s great news that Leona is acknowledging she has to really pull out all the stops to make a fantastic tour. It’s one thing having an amazing voice and selling millions of records, but it’s another thing putting on a big performance aswell as singing in a packed out arena and Im glad Leona and her team are thinking logically. They know Leona needs a little improvement on the way she performs, and I mean that in the nicest way.
Her voice is fab, she is becoming more confident so now’s the perfect time to introduce a dance trainer who can give her some rhythm and get her dancing on the tour.
t4p aidan, it will be nice to see leona dancing but tbh i love the way she performs now its all about the voice, but i suppose she will need to show shes capable of giving epic performance for the tour, just hope shes doesn’t work to hard
I don’t think Leona needs to dance. She just needs a good production with great backing singers, live band, a good stage and her voice will do the rest.
I mean, Mariah used to just walk around the stage with a mic in her hand, and that was it. It worked.
yes that is great news, probily why there’ll be more up-tempo songs on the album. LOL at Gordon smart calling leona his favourite x-factor champ, that’s about 4 articles in the last few weeks without his little digs, probily realises leona going to become even bigger and better then she is now, if possible and is getting on board.
This is very exciting. I think Leonas show will be one of the best for a long time. She is gonig to be dancing hopefully. The next few years are going to be good ones for Leona.
Oo this is so exciting hehe. It’s going to be amazing. I just hope they let her sing live LOTS (you know how normally if there’s dancing, they let them sing live, but cut the quantity down.)

I think we’ll see some more of the R&B vixen on the next album, which I can’t wait for!!
Part of this story is sensationalized but I don’t believe that Leona needs a dance coach to be a good performer. All she needs is a good live band, dancers, etc. backing her up. All she needs to do is sing, I mean she is a singer right? She’s not Brittany Spears or that type of an artist that requires dancing to be good.

Same here Hoping that she puts on an extravagant show. I know how people say that they only need her to sing and that is enough, but to create a bigger fanbase, Leona needs to do some big productions on her tour and it seems as though they are already getting started on that! Can’t wait
